The book covers a broad range of financial topics, including the importance of saving and paying yourself first, tips for saving for your children's college education, such as Section 529 Plans and alternatives, and the importance of preparing for retirement. The book is a guide to understanding the importance of financial planning and management of your retirement savings. The book tries to teach the readers the importance of a fiduciary advisor in your life and how this helps in building a Financial psychology mindset. At the same time it also provides some real time practices and models for financial management. The book is divided into two parts which focus on the Accumulation and Preservation of the Retirement Savings respectively. Furthermore these two parts make a total of 10 chapters, which ultimately focuses on the identification, planning and advising of your finances. What I liked the most about this book is the lucid and comprehensive narration, which keeps the readers engaged and attentive. It serves as a guide to teach you management of your assets, so you should read it at your own pace. At last the book is suggested for the people especially residing in the United States of America and countries with the same law and order, as it's clearly defined for their financial planning and the importance of a fiduciary advisor. While irrespective of region, other can also learn some core principles and concepts of financial management and planning.

This book was recommended to me by a friend of mine. I wish I had this book about 30 years ago! If you are looking for an easy to read book about understanding your finances and your goals for retirement, please read this book. The author explains easy ways for you to get ready for retirement and explains the things you should look for in a financial advisor. Thankfully, most of the things he suggests, we have done. The one biggest mistake we made was not starting to save for the kids college education sooner. We managed to get three kids through a total of 15 years of college but it wasn't easy. This author's writing style is very easy to understand, even from someone who has no interest in finances....that's why we hired a professional! He ends each topic with some questions that really make you think about things. Overall this was a great book and I highly recommend younger people should read it!

I wish I'd met Lawerence 10 years ago, hell 20 years ago but none the less he provides excellent advice in this book about the big picture of financial planning. His common sense approach and the fact that he wants you to find joy in everyday life while preparing for your future and your retirement was a breath of fresh air. Great job!

Absolute must read I didn’t expect a book about financial planning would actually make me stop and list what brings me joy and how that applies to planning for retirement/future. I loved that the author’s view aligned with mine when it comes to paying yourself first and credit card’s. My spouse and I have paid ourselves first throughout our careers. We have reached that point in our lives where it’s just the two of us at home. The kids have moved out and our joys are slightly different than 10 years ago. We look forward to our retirement years to include our forever home and travel. The book addresses retirement and mindset when you retire. When we were young my spouse and I did dumb things when it came to credit cards. We no longer carry any credit card debt. When we use a card we pay it off immediately. I like the authors take on credit cards and our young dumb credit card years have been a great lesson for our children. This is an excellent book that gives real life examples and is easy to read for those who absolutely despise “financial talks” (me)

I found this book incredibly insightful! Made me look at the term "finances" in a different light! I believe this book is a pretty solid start point. Giving it 4 stars because I was hoping a bit more depth into what it means to (and how to) manage your economy, as I said.. Its a pretty solid start point!

It’s a helpful book (especially for international people as me), but from time to time I felt like I was reading an advertising brochure.

What did you do today that brought you joy?® It is easy to understand and reads light for what something can be a heavy (and boring topic) Whether you are seeking to get your finances in order or if you just want to find a way to have your money serve you better. The book will take you on a personal journey toward your financial freedom! We adore how each chapter ends with 5 questions.....questions that prompt the reader to think!
Not what you expect from a "finance" book.. but book helps the reader look at what they want from their life and how money can help them get there. It encourages the reader to put themselves first.
The book contains has a ton of tangible and actionable takeaways.
