How do you complete the Jaeger quest in tarkov? ›

In this quest you have to find Jaeger's encrypted message on Woods. The message is located under a hunting stand which is located in the eastern part of the location, near the crashed plane. Once you have obtained the message, you must extract from the location and hand it over to Mechanic.

Here you'll need to find the camp built by another NPC that you have locked at the moment, called Jaeger. In that camp, you'll have to find a message and then deliver it to the Mechanic — which means you need to survive the Raid with the message in your inventory. You can complete this quest as a Scav or a PMC.

After you complete Gunsmith Part 1, the Introduction quest will become available. To start it, go to Mechanic's quest screen and accept Introduction. This sets you on the path to unlocking Jaeger.

It is recommended to use a weapon with a durability of 100, as the Mechanic may not accept a weapon with low durability (in fact, anything over 60 will be fine). MP-133 specifications:60 Durability, 47 or greater ergonomics, 850 or less recoil sum, 4 or fewer slots.
