You don’t want to spend a lot of time making breakfast in the morning, do you? Then, you came to the right place. Today, let me show you 5 BREAKFAST RECIPES. The taste? Don’t worry about it! They are the best! Alright, are you guys ready? Let’s get started!
#1 GRILLED CHEESE
Ingredients:
- 2 slices bread
- Salted (or unsalted) butter
- 2-4 slices American cheese
Instructions:
1. Take 2 slices of the bread. Spread the softened butter on one side.
2. In a cold pan, place 1 slice of the bread, butter side down. Top with any kinds of cheese you like. Cover with the other slice of bread, butter side facing up.
3. Toast the bread over medium heat until golden brown. Make sure to flip it occasionally. Cut it in half and serve. Enjoy
#2 FRENCH TOAST
Ingredients:
- 1 loaf (or pre-sliced bread)
- 1 tbsp (14g) unsalted butter, plus more to serve
- Handful of fresh (or frozen) berries
- Maple syrup, to serve
Custard:
- 4 large eggs
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1.5 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 3/4 cups (180ml) whole milk
Instructions:
1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, salt, sugar, ground cinnamon, and milk.
2. Cut the loaf into slices, about 3/4-inch (or 2-cm) thick. Dip each slice of the bread into the custard mixture. Let sit for a few seconds on each side.
3. To a pan, add the butter (1 tbsp) over medium heat. Once the butter is completely melted, gently place 2 slices in the pan. Toast until both sides are golden brown. Repeat the process with the remaining slices.
4. Place on a serving plate. Add a pat of butter on top. Arrange some berries around the toast. Drizzle with maple syrup. Enjoy~!
#3 EGG IN A HOLE
Ingredients:
- White bread
- 1 tbsp (14g) unsalted butter, plus more if needed
- 1 large egg, plus more if needed
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Parsley flakes, to taste
Custard:
- 4 large eggs
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1.5 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 3/4 cup (180ml) whole milk
Instructions:
1. In a mixing bowl, crack 4 eggs. Add the salt, sugar, ground cinnamon, and milk. Whisk together until thoroughly combined.
2. Using a cup, make a hole in the center of the bread. Dip each slice of the bread into the custard mixture and let sit for a few seconds.
3. To a pan, add the butter (1 tbsp) over medium heat. Once the butter is completely melted, gently place the bread. Toast until both sides are golden brown. Add more butter (or oil) if needed. Crack an egg in the hole and cover with a lid. Cook to your desired doneness.
4. Carefully place on a serving plate. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and parsley flakes. Enjoy~!
#4 KOREAN STREET TOAST
Ingredients:
- 2 green cabbage leaves
- 1/3 carrot
- 1-2 green onions
- 2 large eggs
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp (14g) unsalted butter (or mayonnaise), plus more if needed
- 2 slices white bread
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- Ketchup
- 1 slice ham
- 1 slice American cheese
Instructions:
1. Thinly slice the cabbage, carrot, and green onions. Transfer to a mixing bowl. To that, add the eggs and salt and pepper to taste. Whisk together until it’s well combined.
2. Depending on your preference, spread some butter (or mayonnaise) on the bread. Toast the bread until golden brown. Remove from the pan and set aside.
3. In the same pan, melt the butter (1 tbsp) and pour the egg mixture. Cook until both sides are golden brown. Place it on the bread. (To fit the bread, you can cut the omelet with your knife or fold it.)
4. To assemble the sandwich, sprinkle on some sugar. Drizzle with ketchup. Top with a slice of ham, cheese, and the other half of the bread. Enjoy~!
#5 EGG TOAST
Ingredients:
- 1 loaf (or pre-sliced bread)
- 1 tbsp (14g) unsalted butter, plus more if needed
- 2-3 strips uncooked bacon
- 1 slice American cheese
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tbsp whole milk
- 1 tbsp sugar
- Pinch of salt
- Parsley flakes (optional), to garnish
Mayo Sauce:
- 1 tbsp Kewpie mayo
- 1 tbsp sweetened condensed milk (or honey)
Sweet & Spicy Sauce:
- 1 tbsp sweetened condensed milk (or Kewpie mayo)
- 1/2 tbsp sriracha
Instructions:
1. Make 2 sauces. In separate bowls, mix together all the sauce ingredients and set aside.
2. Cut the loaf into thick pieces. (One piece should be about 2 slices of pre-sliced bread.) To make a little pocket, cut it in half but not all the way down.
3. Spread the softened butter on both sides and toast until golden brown. Remove from the pan and spread each sauce on the inside of the bread.
4. Cook the bacon until crispy. Into the bread, add a slice of cheese and the bacon strips. Set aside.
5. In a small container, whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, and a pinch of salt. To the pan, add the butter (1 tbsp). Once the butter is completely melted, add the egg mixture and scramble the eggs. Once the eggs are 80% cooked, remove from the pan.
6. Add the scrambled eggs into the bread. Sprinkle on some parsley flakes and drizzle with the remaining mayo sauce. Enjoy~!
